Dreaming of the Daylight Days

Springtime Ahead

The trees are coming into leaf
green green grass is growing.
Birds are flitting back and forth,
the sun is gradually coming out.
The daffodils are fading
the crows and rooks above are crowing.
Days are getting longer,
the restless ground is moving.
The sky threatens rain
but hopefully it has stopped snowing,
brighter times are ahead.

Next month verd de gris will launch a beautiful collection of poems and paintings in the book ‘Dreaming of the Daylight Days’ – over the next few weeks we will be posting a selection of the work produced by members of our creative dementia group which meets weekly at The Town Hall, Hebden Bridge.
